Hi Robert , thank you for the podcast. Would be grateful if in some next video you could tell us more about guru yoga and the 'ah' mantra. 🙏

Your words and urgency to awaken, even though revealing, are discomforting.

If these realms in the afterlife are illusory as you say, how come no one else speaks of that fact? I have watched countless NDE and OBE stories and everyone seems convinced of their experience as real. Many describe it as more real than this reality. How can it all be an illusion?

Also how come we have no choice in the afterlife to awaken? Why must it be done while incarnated? It seems like such an unsurmountable task to do so with all the world's responsibilities this realm imposes on us.

I am grateful for your time and sharing wisdom with us. I wish everything made sense in my head so that I understood the urgency to awaken that you so fervently suggest.

What we discover in the death bardo is something far more real than our daily life on Earth. In order to see the illusion, we need to discover the empty nature of what we are perceiving. This does not mean that we discover a nihilist view of nothingness, it means that we discover that all these appearances that we thought were real were actually just appearances of mind. When we discover the Nature of Mind, then we can see the oneness of it all, the real condition of our existence.

If we have prepared sufficiently, we can awaken in the death bardo. It would be a perfect time to awaken; however, we need to be able to let go, to have enough control over our mind, so that we are not swept away by our karma, or past actions. If we cling to the afterlife, we cannot remain, just as it is in this life. Clinging and conceptualizing are actually a terrible obstacle. We need to find a way to remain at ease under any circumstance. This is not so easy to do, because we think we need to be swept away by our thoughts and emotions, and we cultivate that attitude, rather than the attitude of awakening mind.

Thank you so much for taking the time to reply. I am trying my best to understand and I appreciate you trying to put into words something which is probably too abstract to understand with a physical brain.

I'm pondering on what "appearances of mind" means. Does it mean that what we experience in the afterlife is manifested by our mind/beliefs/expectations/longings? If we expect to see passed loved ones, that's who we encounter, but if we long for Jesus he'll show up. In all cases, are these subjective experiences of merely apparitions of our own creation with no volition of their own? Or are there objective realms?

So many people take comfort in the belief that they'll meet their loved ones in the afterlife. Is this not the case? Don't worry if the answer is shocking, I can handle the truth.

The same way that I can handle the truth about wether this is a prison planet. This theory has gained traction lately. Us being stuck in an reincarnation loop, is it a making of our own only or are there negative forces/beings/gods ensuring that we stay stuck?

I would suggest you don't try to make too much sense of that with your Head/Intelect. Refer to your presence and heart to process this kind of information. 👍

I am grateful for the reply. You encourage questioning everything in your videos, to not take anything for granted. That's what comes up naturally to me and why I asked. I was hoping for answers, now I'm confused and concerned as to why you'd avoid the questions.

I'm glad you are questioning everything, now comes the cultivation of awakening mind. I'm not always able to respond quickly, so don't think for an instant that I'm avoiding anything. It is more to do with circumstances.
