I had a dream a few years ago about cutting black, sticky ropes (roots?) that had grown between me and my parents (who I love very much) I wondered, "how did these get here?" I had a knife in my dream, so I cut them. I know my relationship with them has been better ever since!
It's amazing how things work like that. I've seen and heard many examples of this. Mind is very powerful. Thoughts influence situations in life, as well as actions of self and others, often far more than we realize. I think this is why Buddhism goes right to the heart of virtuous living, even in our dreams. Being that way greatly influences and helps the people around us.
