AH . . .
This power within is revealed,
Greater than all powers on Earth,
A power so intense that, that, that
It cannot be described, not fathomed
Through ordinary means,
Not conceptualized through belief or intellect;
You fools who cling to mere human notions
Of the ineffable, don’t you know
Direct experience is required!
Real knowledge can only be revealed
Beyond belief, belief can only reveal,
Belief is a lie we tell ourselves!
Directly experience bright ineffable awareness,
Or you will simply not know;
Once you lose self in that
Brilliant light beyond all reason,
You see quite clearly that you
Are not a you, except in your imagination;
You are not this pathetic human manifestation!
You see quite clearly, this power,
This Nature of Mind, this brightness,
This infinite potentiality is at hand,
Obliterating all obstacles for all time,
Blazing brilliantly across time and space,
Brightly revealing all that can be revealed,
And,
Yet,
You have not noticed, not even once!
You are not this pathetic self who
Does not notice anything!
You’re not this ego
defending itself for no apparent reason!
This mere human is just a ruse,
Another pathetic lie that you have told yourself
From beginningless beginnings;
You are infinite potentiality;
Start acting like it!

Now, I spent eternity within the indescribable condition of Timeless Luminosity. You can read a little bit about that in my books. It will be explained further in the next book. There’s really nothing much to say, other than it is about instantly becoming a power that far surpasses every power conceived by the human mind, far greater than the Universe or the Multiverse, far greater than anything we can imagine.
This is discovering real power, not these petty ideas we have about power as humans. It went beyond all constraints, being fully aware of all possibilities happening at once, beyond time and space itself. Throughout this entire span of cognizant awareness, I had absolutely no need for fame, fortune, praise, pleasure or really any sort of worldly power, all the things we try to gather around ourselves as humans. I had what I needed, something beyond what we think we can ever have, which was also something I acquired through intense Spiritual Practice.
In this lifetime, I was born with an attitude of developing my own inner strengths, not concerning myself with social structures, power, wealth or fame, instantly rejecting such nonsensical things as popularity or earning a buck. My Spiritual Practice came first, right from the moment I was born. I knew enough to place my own awakening above any sort of nonsense the world was throwing at me. I was interested in acquiring real power, not some fake egotistical waste of a life.
If you have read The Frog, I think you would have some understanding of why that is. The sudden violent way I died in my previous lifetime had a lot to do with this. My own inner knowledge was something that I was already cognizant of in my past lifetime. This little snot-nosed child walking around with a herd of goats in the Himalayas had his priorities in order. That old me understood a little bit about our real condition, as well as who he was from a vast number of lifetimes.
It must be stated that, in this lifetime, I was born with a bit of contempt for my own spiritual abilities, kicking myself for not having the ability to be reborn with complete freedom. I should not have allowed myself to become so easily distracted by warfare, bullets and bombs, even though I was only a small child and we were being pursued by soldiers. I had already been recognized by some monastics and I had remembered some of my past lifetimes; so, by looking within, I confirmed what they told me, even though I wasn’t entirely sure that they had it completely correct.
In our dark and dull world, we are told to climb up the social ladder, to accumulate things that require an attachment to ego, all the while sort of kowtowing to those with power above us. Fame and fortune, power really, seem to be the name of the game. Unfortunately, this doesn’t help us at all when we die. Every penny we’ve acquired, our status, our fame, all of it will be completely and utterly lost. In this race to the top, we’ve changed the world by making it more cruel, greedy, cowardly and sowing seeds of misery everywhere we go.
You’d be better off living under a rock, rather than joining the rat race or rising in fame and fortune, or kowtowing to those in power in order to gain your own power. It’s better to go your own way, to insist upon your own inner awakening, putting awakening above all else. It’s better to rebel a little bit.
If we wish to awaken, then we need to welcome constant trouble, disregarding social norms, developing our spiritual strengths, opening our heart and mind, constructing a Spiritual Practice that is truly unbreakable. We should never give away our most precious gift, which is our own aspiration to awaken. To awaken, we need courage, perseverance, focus and a strong foundation.
Blessings in Light,
Robert Aho
"defending itself for no apparent reason" - Wow.
