Hi Robert, please take that question as just curiosity from me as i understand it could be sensitive subject. You said you needed to get away from the monkey house to heal from trauma. But why not trying to crash test the robustness of your realizations by going back there and as you mentioned in this podcast, see if it has any ripple effects on others?

That's an excellent question! When we have been traumatized, we need to find a way to heal. Since my traumas have healed, I do go out there. This podcast is out there. I also teach at a local church and talk to people individually around the world. For many years, I practiced meditation on a city bus. It was the best thing that I could have done, because I was dealing with energy and distraction for an hour a day. The Spiritual Practitioner must learn when it is best to seek solitude or when it is best to go amid the hustle and bustle of the world. This is part of skillful means that we must put into practice. Taking care of self is important, because we are also part of this thing we call Bodhicitta, bringing benefit to all.

About a year ago I deleted my Tiktok, Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook. I feel so much better.

I still have Youtube, Substack as well as Reddit and Tumblr (which I mostly use for my Sims story where I play sims and tell a story of their lives). And bluesky which I just post my stuff and bounce lol.

So i'm not on social media much anymore except for Youtube and Substack. Sometimes I spend some time on Reddit to be completely honest but Youtube is the main one. I'm also a youtuber so there's that. I'm watching less than I used to so I have time for other hobbies: Reading and Writing mainly.

Sorry to ramble a bit. Love your podcasts.

Namaste,

Tyler
