Being on a Spiritual Path means that you have aspired to awaken. We aspire to get real for the first time ever. It’s just that simple.
If you have not aspired to awaken, then it is more likely that you are still seeking, or you have simply accepted something arbitrarily, due to various causes and conditions. When we are on a Spiritual Path, we look at mind realistically. We don’t try to change anything, we simply observe and investigate mind. We investigate all that manifests, realizing that it is our senses that act as a conduit for all the labels we utilize.
All Spiritual Paths must be dominated by tremendous love and compassion, because that is where it begins. If we aspire to awaken, we are beginning with the most loving compassionate thing that we can do. Awakening means we bring benefit to all, knowing that this is really the only thing that we can do to help anyone. This is important to understand, even before our Spiritual Path begins. We must see the futility of the world, then take measures to go beyond all that constrains us.
