I would advise against having anything to do with that particular teacher or the group that he founded. My own teacher advised having nothing to do with him. Kelsang Gyatso created lots of division and disarray among Buddhists. He was also a sectarian extremist. He was also stripped of his geshe degree after defaming HH Dalai Lama. I could say more, however, it would only incite more disarray and discord...
