If you are on the Spiritual Path, the most important thing is to not get distracted or swept up by a world that wants you to become embroiled. When we become embroiled, we neglect the most important thing, which is our own Aspiration to Awaken. This is the first step on the Spiritual Path. It is really Bodhicitta, or what is actually this extremely compassionate wish to awaken.
Bodhicitta is also key to keeping things straight, to keeping you on your Spiritual Path and centered. It’s how we can remain at ease in all circumstances. If you are ever in trouble, look within. Nurture your Aspiration to Awaken, generate Bodhicitta. An inner evolution is what will save the world more than anything else.
