Isn’t the belief in karma another ism? Ramana Maharishi said “karma is a reality for those who identify with their actions and the world (which is not us).” What insights could you share on this concept (which only comes from the human self, as all concepts do)? I’m confused on this….thank you!!

Well, that is a very good question. Karma just means action. We can observe that our actions change the world around us. Simple things like getting angry when something says something we don't like can create an angry response. This can magnify, and it can spread in many directions. When we look at it this way, we see that karma is simply a part of the condition we must face in our physical condition, as sentient beings who are trapped in cyclic existence. It would only become an ism if we utilized such a concept to control others, as part of an institutional system of beliefs. When we look at karma, as it is, without concept, we can see that it is very simple, not related to belief. It's more like a natural law of our physical environment, something like gravity.
