You’re missing it,
The teachings of Yeshua
Are beyond what you think;
You’re missing it,
Yeshua is none other than
simply love and compassion;
What is it that you really believe?
You are missing it,
Yeshua told you to meditate,
that’s where you need to go,
to that place within where all is possible.

Where I live, it is assumed that everyone is Christian. This is a little bit odd, and often a bit disrespectful to those who have taken on the Spiritual Path. It can be infuriating; so, it is not always easy to bite your tongue and just accept what is unfolding.
Now, the description of my death can be a bit unsettling to those who have an extremely limited religious agenda. It is not an affirmational story. What I tell people is that my experience goes well beyond any belief or ideas you might have about death. When some people hear that, they reject what I have to say at once. That’s too bad, because I am saying something beneficial.
I am amazed when I really consider what all great masters have said throughout the ages, all around the world, in a wide variety of cultures, maybe even all cultures and groups. It also amazes me that people usually miss the point. When a great master speaks about Ultimate Truth, it’s not something that we can easily fathom. If it was easy, we’d all awaken at once.
What happens is that religions are formed. Various political attributes are applied. People start to proselytize. It becomes like a crusade where the end is said to justify the means, applying fear, hate, anger, jealousy and greed to their own religious affiliation. People forget the core teachings and that all the rest is not important.
So, I’ve chosen to often speak or write while utilizing a Buddhist vocabulary in places. The reason for this is really simple. It is because Buddhism provides, by far, the best way of looking and examining the Spiritual Path. It’s not based upon belief. It’s based upon our own examination of mind. When we look within, we discover everything that we will ever need.
This was Yeshua’s primary instruction for those entering the Spiritual Path. It wasn’t that you should go to church or join some bloody crusade, it was to look within. Yeshua said that his followers must meditate. He didn’t say to go here or there, he said that the Kingdom of God is within you. He already told you to go within. He also explicitly said that you should not look outside yourself for answers.
People say that it is important to believe in Yeshua if you wish to find liberation. Well, what is Yeshua? I’m not talking about what Paul or other political commentators may have said. I’m asking what did Yeshua actually teach. The answer is very simple. He taught altruism. He taught love and acceptance of what comes your way. Yeshua is nothing other than love and compassion. If you wish to believe in Yeshua, you must believe in love and compassion.
This is really the same as Bodhicitta. If we live with love and compassion at all times, then the door opens. Bodhicitta, as I have said repeatedly, is the key. Yeshua was a Kingly Bodhisattva; and, unfortunately, most people who follow him have absolutely no idea, simply because they are distracted by preachings that generate fear, as well as other disturbing emotions.
See, I may call myself a Buddhist, but I don’t reject what Yeshua actually taught. I am firmly convinced that he was really a Buddhist himself. Many scholars have pointed this out, that he encountered Buddhism. I think that it’s important for Christians to investigate this history, rather than rejecting anything that seems different from your secular affiliation. If you are unable to investigate your Guru, then you will miss him.
So, when I died, I did not specifically meet Yeshua; however, I met the most amazing love and compassion imaginable. My own return was propelled by love and compassion. I’ve written about this repeatedly in this newsletter, as well as in both of my books.
I didn’t return in order to convert anybody or to proselytize. My return has nothing to do with tribal affiliation or secular nonsense. My return was to help people in exactly the same way that others have done so after they encountered Ultimate Reality. I’m not here to validate your beliefs, nor am I here in order to provide comfort. What awaits us in death is far more that what we believe; and, if we wish to prepare, we need to do the hard work ourselves. We need to pay attention to our own Spiritual Path, meditate and utilize all that appears for our own awakening.
Yeshua had a simple message: Don’t rely on others, look within and live altruistically. This is not so hard to understand if you settle your mind down a little bit. It’s a good message; and, really all Christians need to cultivate that message, rather than wandering so far off the Path. Our world has grown far too hostile. It’s time to start where you are and create a better world.
Blessings in Light,
